On March 11, the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) with the assistance of Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT), Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC), Digital Forensics Lab (DFL), Criminal Investigations Section (CIS), Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), and Tactical Unit executed search and arrest warrants at 4042 Hidden River Lane, Sarasota, related to an investigation regarding the promotion of child pornography. Kyle R. Ex, W/M, DOB: 04/12/88 was identified as the suspect and arrested for ten separate counts of child pornography. The search and arrest warrants were served without incident.

Ex is currently a registered sexual offender resulting from an arrest and conviction in 2024 for 15 counts of Possession of Child Pornography. He was released from incarceration in November 2025 and is currently on sex offender probation through 2038 for the mentioned offenses from Manatee County.

This collaborative effort led to a successful arrest and the removal of a dangerous, repeat offender from our community.
