The purpose and objectives of this organization shall be to maintain the highest levels of education, professionalism, and integrity; to help the public at large better understand the role and any concerns of law enforcement; to maintain positive public relations between law enforcement personnel and the public; to conduct educational forums, workshops, and other similar programs for the benefit and welfare of the public at large; to maintain a high level of ethical conduct on the part of all deputies; to provide law enforcement with additional tools, training, equipment, and resources to combat crime and promote public safety; to oversee the investment and administration of donations from persons, corporations, and other philanthropic organizations; to uphold the Constitution and laws of the United States of America, the State of Florida, and Sarasota County; and to do all things necessary or incidental to the foregoing.
