Sarasota County Sheriff Kurt A. Hoffman is pleased to announce that Corrections Sergeant Jenna DuBose graduated on April 19 from the Florida Leadership Academy, Class 56, hosted by the Florida Criminal Justice Executive Institute.

Sergeant DuBose and 43 other first-line supervisors attended four week-long sessions where the Florida Leadership Academy prepared them for future challenges and taught them the skills necessary to support the needs of their local agencies and communities. This exceptional training is designed to develop the character and integrity required for criminal justice professionals by building on the characteristics of efficient and effective leaders. Thirty-seven criminal justice agencies were represented in this class.

“With each graduating class, the Florida Leadership Academy reinforces the traits needed to prepare supervisors to lead and serve in their communities,” said Sheriff Hoffman. “Training is the foundation of every successful law enforcement agency, and at SCSO, it is always a priority.”
