911 Systems Analyst Randall Grosswiler has been named the 2023 Civilian Employee of the Year. Analyst Grosswiler's extensive efforts have simplified the audit of the agency’s Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) systems, reducing hours of work through the automation of reports. Additionally, Analyst Grosswiler wrote a professional-level program to expedite the use of GPS data that outperforms many programs currently available for purchase. His determination, dedication, and diverse talents are unmatched and have been an indescribable asset to our agency.

Deputy William Rose has been named the 2023 Law Enforcement Deputy of the Year. Deputy Rose consistently demonstrates outstanding qualities that distinguish him as a leader, mentor, and key contributor to investigations. He showed outstanding leadership as a tactical team leader during an incident involving an armed subject, which ended with a peaceful resolution. Deputy Rose is a 20-year military veteran and former SWAT team member who uses his skills and experiences to mentor and teach other deputies. His dedication to the sheriff's office shows in every facet of his work.

Deputy William Sills has been named the 2023 Courts and Corrections Deputy of the Year. Deputy Sills has excelled in all areas of the correctional facility. He has established himself as a knowledgeable and committed deputy assisting supervisors by routinely and proactively taking on additional tasks and responsibilities. He's received numerous compliments from deputies, civilians, and his supervisors for his professionalism and work ethic. Deputy Sills' service to the community and expertise sets the criteria for others.

Communications Operator I Patryk Ziarnicki has received the 2023 Quality Assurance of the Year Award. He has earned perfect compliance marks for his handling of emergency calls he has answered while at the SCSO Emergency Operations Bureau (EOB). Communications Operator I Ziarnicki's professionalism and dedication are outstanding, as is his commitment to serving the community.

"These employees set the expectations for our agency,” said Sheriff Hoffman. “Their dedication, commitment and professionalism are a model for success, and we are honored to have them working for our community.”
