Sheriff Knight is committed to keeping Sarasota County citizens informed about the activities of the Sheriff's Office. With this in mind, speakers are regularly available to give presentations on a variety of topics, including:

• Organizing a Security Plan for your Neighborhood
• Securing Your Home or Business
• Crime Issues in the Community
• Identity Theft Prevention
• Personal Protection
• Senior Scams & Fraud
• The Neighborhood Watch program
• The history of the Sheriff's Office
• Specialty unit overviews, e.g. K-9 and Mounted Patrol

If your organization or community group would like to request that a member of the Sheriff's Office speak at an event, please email SRQSher@scgov.net. Specify the desired subject, date, location, time and event organizer's contact information. Please give as much notice as possible (a minimum of five days is required).
