The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two men in connection with two separate incidents of theft.
On April 12th at approximately 5:30 p.m. two white male subjects, pictured below, exited the Bealls department store in the area of Clark Rd. and Honore Ave. with merchandise in excess of $300. A Bealls Loss Prevention Officer attempted to stop the subjects in the parking lot. The younger male wearing the black baseball hat threatened the officer with a pocket knife. The older male ran towards a white, early 90’s, four-door, square body style, Buick. Both subjects left in the vehicle and were last seen eastbound on Clark Road. It appears the same subjects committed a theft at the U.S.F./New College bookstore on March 1st.
