The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office has arrested two people from Punta Gorda for selling methamphetamine to an undercover detective.
Kasey Ellison, DOB 6/9/82, and Mark Lynch, DOB 10/9/67, both of 11750 Farabee Grade, met the detective at a Venice hotel last night to deliver two ounces of Meth in exchange for $2,400. Ellison placed the drugs on the bed and took out a pipe to smoke the narcotics and at that time both subjects were taken into custody. During a search of Ellison’s bags detectives also found a stun gun.
Ellison, who has 12 prior arrests in Sarasota County for drug charges and other related crimes, is charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Possession of an Electronic Weapon by a Convicted Felon and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Lynch is charged with Principal to Trafficking in Methamphetamine, as well as two misdemeanors for driving with a suspended license and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
