Sex Offender Registration

NEWS RELEASE 18-201 - DECEMBER 11, 2018
Jacquinto, Christopher
The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is advising the public that Christopher Richard Jacquinto, DOB 05/02/80, has registered as a sexual offender living in Sarasota.

In 2004, Jacquinto was charged with Lewd or Lascivious Battery on a Child Under 16 and sentenced to eight months in jail followed by 10 years of sex offender probation. He was arrested in 2007 in Manatee County for violating the terms of his probation and sentenced to 15 years in prison. Jacquinto was just released and reports he is a transient living in the area of N. Washington Blvd. and University Parkway in Sarasota. He is currently under the supervision of the Florida Department of Corrections however, residency restrictions do not apply. The registration of a “location” and not a physical address is allowable under Florida law for homeless or transient persons however, effective July 1, 2014, a transient offender or predator must register their address with the sheriff’s office every 30 days.

This information is posted on the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office website, mobile app, agency Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts to publicly notify citizens of sex offenders and predators who register a Sarasota County address for the first time, when moving into the county or following a release from prison. Citizens should still sign up to receive notifications from FDLE of sex offenders and predator registrations.
