Sexual Predator Registration

NEWS RELEASE 18-151 - SEPTEMBER 6, 2018
Drymon, Martin

The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is advising the public that Martin Herschel Drymon, DOB 05/24/67, has registered as a sexual predator living temporarily in Sarasota.

Drymon was charged in Sarasota County in 1987 with Lewd, Lascivious or Indecent Act in the Presence of a Child and sentenced to community service and five years of probation. In 1994, he was again charged with Sexual Battery using Physical Force and was sentenced to 12 years in prison to run concurrently with a 15-year sentence for violating his probation from his 1987 conviction. Drymon was released from prison in 2006 and transferred to the Florida Civil Commitment Center in Desoto County. Once released from the facility, Drymon reported he was moving to Barnardsville, NC. He now reports he is staying only temporarily until September 8, at 2765 25th Street in Sarasota. Drymon is not currently under the supervision of the Department of Corrections and because he was convicted prior to 2004, residency restrictions do not apply. Mandatory neighborhood notifications are being made.

This information is posted on the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office website, agency Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts to publicly notify citizens of sexual offenders and predators who register a Sarasota County address for the first time, when moving into the county or following release from prison. Citizens should still sign up to receive notifications from FDLE of sex offenders and predator registrations.
