The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office charged an Arcadia man after deputies seized more than 230 grams of methamphetamine.

Patrol deputies conducting proactive patrol in the 16000 block of Whidden Road in east Sarasota County first made contact with 46-year-old Reppard Little Thursday evening just before 10:00 p.m. Deputies observed Little riding a bicycle while carrying a black backpack. Because Little failed to have a light on the rear of his bicycle, deputies attempted to make contact with him. As deputies approached, Little dropped the backpack and fled. Little was soon detained and search incident to arrest led deputies to recover two bags of methamphetamine totaling 230.5 grams, in Little’s backpack. He was immediately taken into custody and booked into the Sarasota County Jail.   

Little, of 1182 SW Mildred Street, is charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine and Obstruction. He was released Friday on $100,500.00 bond.
