The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office arrested a 49-year-old Sarasota man Friday for Possession of Child Pornography.
Detectives acting on a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children determined a particular IP address was used to download files previously identified as containing child pornography. Detectives confirmed the IP address was registered to 4041 Linwood Street and obtained a search warrant for the property. Through investigation, detectives learned that Dennis Holland, DOB 08/24/69, was living at the home. During a search of the property and forensic scan of his computer, detectives discovered 40 images all determined to be child pornography.
Holland was taken into custody and charged with 40 felony counts of Possession: Sexual Performance by a Child. He is held at the Sarasota County Jail without bond. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending.
