MDMA Trafficking Arrest

The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office arrested a 23-year-old man after he coordinated the delivery of a trafficking amount of MDMA to his Venice home.

After developing information that a package containing MDMA would be delivered to a home in the 2100 block Frederick Drive in Venice, detectives began surveillance in the area. Around 12:00 p.m., the package was delivered and at 12:15 p.m., detectives executed a search warrant on the home. A search of the residence revealed more than 123 grams of MDMA valued at more than $4,000. Detectives also recovered more than 50 grams of marijuana and nearly 4 grams of butane hash oil. Through investigation, detectives identified Kylor Proper, DOB 06/25/94, as the man responsible for having the package delivered.

Proper remains in custody today at the Sarasota County Jail on a single count of Trafficking in MDMA, Possession of Butane Hash Oil and Possession of Marijuana More than 20 Grams. He is being held without bond. Proper has prior arrests in Sarasota County including for Burglary and Resisting an Officer.
