The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office arrested a 47-year-old Sarasota man on Friday for Possession of Child Pornography.
Detectives acting on a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children determined a particular IP address was used to download 11 files previously identified as containing child pornography. Detectives confirmed the IP address was leased to 2552 Bucida Drive in Sarasota and obtained a search warrant for the property. Through investigation, detectives learned that Gary Moor II, DOB 03/04/71, was living at the home. During a search of the property and forensic scan of his computer, detectives discovered 40 images all determined to be child pornography.
Moor was taken into custody and charged with 40 felony counts of Possession: Sexual Performance by a Child. He was released Sunday on $20,000 bond. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending.
