Sarasota County Sheriff Tom Knight is pleased to announce the promotion of Corrections Deputy Jessica Evanish.
Corrections Deputy Jessica Evanish is promoted to the rank of Sergeant assigned to the Courts and Corrections Division. Evanish began her public service career in 2010 with the Charlotte County Clerk of Court. She was hired by the sheriff’s office as a corrections mail clerk in 2014 and began serving as a corrections deputy in 2016 after successfully obtaining her certification. Throughout her career, Evanish was recognized as the Courts and Corrections Employee of the Month and received a nomination for Civilian Employee of the Year in 2015. She earned her associate’s degree from Edison State College and her bachelor’s degree from Florida Gulf Coast University.
“We believe in recognizing hard work and dedication to excellence,” said Sheriff Tom Knight. “Sergeant Evanish has displayed her value to our agency and community. It is my pleasure to support her as she takes the next step in her career.”
