Teletype Operator

Duties

This is a highly technical position requiring extensive entering and retrieving of data from various computer programs to include NCIC/FCIC and the Sheriff's WinGS System. The teletype operator will respond to teletype inquiries and other related assistance under the jurisdiction of the Sheriff and in accordance with agency and Florida Department of Law Enforcement policy.



 

Starting Salary

$27,061

 

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Demonstrated skill in the use of computer and office equipment as required to perform the position tasks.

  • Possess ability to work independently using efficient time management skills.

  • Ability to enter and/or retrieve information from WinGS/NCIC/FCIC computer systems in an accurate manner and in accordance with all applicable state and federal statutes and agency policies.

  • Effectively communicate information, both verbal and written, demonstrating awareness for human diversity to citizens and colleagues.
