Lisa Shaffner
Case# 82-4571

On 10-23-82 at about 5:14PM a nude body of Lisa M. Schaffner was discovered lying in a field located at 2301 North Tuttle Ave in Sarasota. Schaffner was lying on her back with her unbuttoned blouse and panties around her ankle. She had multiple stab wounds around her neck and chest.

It also appeared that she was sexually battered. The investigation showed that the body of Schaffner might have been there since early morning of that day. Her death was labeled a homicide.

The area that Schaffner was found was known for prostitutes to bring “Johns” to perform sexual acts. It is unknown why Schaffner was in the area.
At this time there are no suspects or leads in the case.
