During the early morning of Oct. 29, 1989 Jennifer Hunter's body was discovered in a parking lot of the industrial area at 2060 61st St. in Sarasota. Her death was the result of a homicide.

Hunter had multiple stab wounds and had been dead for several hours. Hunter had a history of prostitution and was known to frequent the area of U.S. Highway 301 and U.S. Highway 41 in Sarasota and would direct her customers to the area where she was found to have sex with them. She was last seen alive the previous evening.
