On Dec. 1, 1999 the body of Esco Hunter was found in a wooded area
next to the railroad tracks at Central Avenue and 44th Street in Sarasota.
Hunter's death was the result of a homicide. His maroon 1998 Ford Custom
Van, bearing Florida license 1B23R was found at the dead end of Orange
Avenue, north of Myrtle Street. The van was burned as a result of arson.
Hunter was from the Miami
area and was associated with rap bands. He went by several names including
Jeffrey Scott, Eric Judson, Aaron Jackson, and the nickname "Laylow."
